During that time, management decided to revamp the show beginning with this season in order to appeal to international broadcasters globally. In December 2004, Karen Barnes became the new executive producer of the series, replacing Randy Dalton who served for the previous three seasons. Karen Barnes, executive producer at the time, with Riff. BARNEY AND FRIENDS SEASON 1 EPISODE 10 SERIES

This was the first season to be executive produced by Karen Barnes, who had no involvement with the series prior to this. With this season also comes the debut of Riff, the cousin of BJ and Baby Bop, who loves music. This season introduces a cast of forty-seven children (including Ryan, Melanie, Amy, Olivia, Claire, and Lucas), however unlike previous seasons, the cast of children are now reduced to background characters. Continuing to breakaway from the typical Barney & Friends format following season nine, this season displays Barney coming to life after the theme song, rather than in the episode, through the children's imaginations including Tracy, and others who are apart of the new cast this season. The first segment of each episode would conclude with the song, " A Friend Like You", while the second segment would end with " I Love You". This is the first season of Barney & Friends to have episodes broken into twelve minute segments. However, if the hallway scene is any indicator, the show has bigger plans for Sophie and Sid.The tenth season of Barney & Friends premiered on the PBS children's block, PBS Kids from Septemto Octoand consisted of twenty episodes (40 segments). Currently, Sophie is with Ian and Sid with Hannah. This relationship probably wouldn't happen until a potential third or fourth season, after Sophie and Jesse would have dated and broken up. There would also be an explosive love triangle if Sid and Sophie were ever to happen, which could allow this series to explore some of the heightened tension and emotions of HIMYM's later seasons. Like Barney and Robin, Sid and Sophie have similar views on relationships and marriage. Sid has previously given Jesse advice about Sophie and shown his support for the couple, but Barney did the same thing with Ted and Robin. Instead of breaking up in the Season 1 finale, they get married, which could mean that they will ultimately break up (especially since they're going to stay long-distance in Season 2). Additionally, Sid and Hannah's arc is the opposite of Marshall and Lily's. In a flashback of their relationship where they're supposed to be happy, she's wearing purple. When Sid and Hannah get into a fight, she is wearing yellow. It's likely that HIMYF will continue to use this theory as well. HIMYM's Color Theory associates yellow with the right person, and purple with failed relationships. Sid got married to his fiancée, Hannah, in the Season 1 finale, but the relationship is unlikely to last. It feels like foreshadowing, in a way that Robin and Barney's scenes in "Zip, Zip, Zip" hinted at their future relationship. He then holds out a hand to help her up and promises her that things will work out when it's with the right person. They open up to each other, and where Jesse would argue with Sophie and try to challenge her, Sid just accepts her and supports her. The biggest indicator of a potential romance between Sid and Sophie occurs in Season 1, Episode 6, "Stacey." Sid and Sophie are having problems with their respective partners, and they end up in the hallway together. As Sophie and Jesse have been developing their complicated romance, every interaction between Sophie and Sid feels easy, with an effortless banter that feels reminiscent of Barney and Robin in the earlier seasons of HIMYM. It was Sid's phone that got swapped with Sophie's, bringing her to the bar.

On the night that they met, Sophie and Sid immediately got along, bonding over their love of romance and belief in true love. Whether or not Sid is the father, there is a great deal of romantic possibilities between him and Sophie.
